Your relationship is second, to God.
I came to Alicia, needing something in my life to change and feeling very hopeless. I came feeling burdened by my past and situations that had occurred in my life. By the end of my first session, she was able to identify the areas in my life that had caused these wounds.
After only 4 sessions Alicia not only showed me the areas I needed to be free from, but she also showed me how to love myself and how to see myself through God's eyes, she brought insight into my past relationships and the hurts that I had because of them. With God, she helped bring complete breakthroughs in all the relationships and areas in my life that had me going in a vicious cycle that I could not break free from on my own.
I can honestly say that I have been set free from the bondage of my past and past relationships. I have never felt so confident, bold, and in tune with what God is doing in my life until now!!
She is an amazing woman whom God is using to help others! I will be forever changed because of my time with her. She was a true blessing in my life!

My wife and I came to Steve & Alicia after we filed for divorce, in fact, the only thing left to do was to sign the final divorce decree. A friend of my wife told her about the Johnsons, and reluctantly I agreed to go, just to say I had made one last ditch effort.
To my surprise and amazement within thirty minutes the Johnsons went to that deep wounded place in me and I (a grown xxx man) was in tears. I looked at my wife and she was almost on the floor!
Needless to say after only 6 sessions a year later we renewed our vows and that was almost 6 years ago and we are still going strong.

Me and my then-boyfriend heard about Steve and Alicia from church, so we decided to come to see them when we were starting to date, Before we put too much time in we decided to see if we were truly compatible.
During our sessions with the Johnsons, our eyes were open to a lot of things we as a dating couple had not even considered. The topics raised led to some deep discussions. The Johnsons were able to help us define and articulate our individual goals for the future. We shortly realized we were headed in different directions and wanted different things out of life.
We both mutually decided we would stop seeing each other as a couple. We remain friends to this day and I found the love of my life and am happily married with a little one on the way. Thank you Steve and Alicia for helping with a life-altering decision.

My journey started at birth, being born to an alcoholic father and a bipolar mother. Life was pretty hard growing up as the oldest of 5 children. My father decided to leave our family when I was 11 years old. This was the event that shattered my world! I experienced several abuses in my life, one being sexually molested when I was 8 years old, which further traumatized me and caused me to second guess my value and my worth. The errors of thought, (that I call lies of the enemy) had been planted and continued to perpetuate throughout my life forming strongholds in my life that had to be broken.
At 23 I asked Christ to come into my life and become my Lord and Savior; after a series of poor decisions; dropping out of high school, drug addiction, 3 attempted suicides, and 2 children. It was then that God began to walk me through my "places of pain."
Shortly after coming to Christ, I got married to the most wonderful man in the world, who I have been married to for 40 years. Together we have 2 other children. To date, we have 4 adult children, 13 grandchildren, and 5 great-grands. My journey has been a long, hard one, but I know it was all for a Great Kingdom Purpose.
About 22 years ago I had a mental breakdown and had to go to therapy. The Counselor was an awesome Christian woman who relied on the guidance of the Holy Spirit to help me navigate through my places of pain to becoming whole. I will forever be grateful. After coming through this 3 and a half year journey I was determined that this is what I wanted to do.
So, after getting my GED at 36, having a 17-year career in Corporate America, and going to college to receive my BS and MS degree in Psychology, I am now a Counselor.
Along with offering individual counseling in my private practice, I currently work at a Safe House for women rescued from sex trafficking and addiction. Serving alongside my husband, we are also Pastors over Pray and Congregation at Covenant Church on the Carrolton TX campus.
My life is dedicated to bringing individuals and couples to spiritual and emotional health.
